This is my neighbor,Aisha. She is Bosnian from a town called Bihac. It is pronounced Bi-atch and don't think for a minute that John doesn't joke about that.She and her husband don't speak a word of English.They have lived in our village for 15 years and they barely speak German.

Aisha is always making us eat something from her yard-nuts, cherries, pears, apples, and berries.Here she is trying to make me eat johannesberrries. They are very sour and she won't take no for an answer.She also likes to sit outside by my studio window and watch me paint.I am usually a little leery of her because she has grabbed my breasts more than once.Maybe it is an old Bosnian custom,I don't know......
